These outhouses can still be found on the back roads in the south east where I live. This one behind an old, abandoned farmhouse. I love how it sits with the vines growing up the walls and the forest in the background.

As I am sitting here on the back porch in the Enchanted Forest, contemplating where to begin with my new photo blog, a bright patch of orange catches my eye. It's the first daylily of the season. So engrossed in my blog about the beauty of the forest and surrounding countryside, I almost missed seeing the bloom! Maybe the reason I missed it is that I was not looking for it. This daylily is in a new patch of plants that my sister gave me a month ago. I did not expect to see it bloom this year. Another good reason to keep my eyes open wide and my camera strapped around my neck.
